           Tetracycline is broad-spectrum antibiotic, to most gram positive and negative bacteria have inhibitory effect, high concentration has bactericidal effect, and can inhibit rickettsia, trachoma virus, better to gram negative bacilli action.The mechanism of action is mainly to prevent the combination of aminoyl group and ribosome, to prevent the growth of peptide chain and the synthesis of protein, thus inhibiting the growth of bacteria, and it also has bactericidal effect at high concentration.[3]

                There is cross resistance between this product and oxytetracycline.Clinically, it is mainly used for bacterial dysentery, trachoma, whooping cough, pneumonia, suppurative meningitis, skin infection, otitis media and so on.
