What is Meloxicam? Meloxicam  is a non-steroid antipyretic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory drug. It is not a hormone drug and has strong anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic effects. It can selectively inhibit the activity of cyclocxygenase-2 (COX-2), thereby blocking the synthesis of prostaglandins. The inhibition of prochemicalbook adenosin biosynthesis in inflammatory sites was stronger than that of prostaglandin biosynthesis in gastric mucosa or kidney, and was safer than other NSAIDs. It is mainly used to relieve the symptoms of osteoarthritis, painful osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and severe spondylitis of the joints.
