	What is Colchicine? Colchicine is one of a group of macrocyclic alkaloids. Chemical formula: C22H23NO6. It is commonly found in the liliaceae plants of Jialan and Lijiangshan, with the content of 0.11% and 0.1%, respectively. Alkaloids, extracted from the plant colchicine, inhibit the formation of spindle filaments and thus delay the division of the centromere.
	Application & Function 1. Mainly used for acute gout, not for general pain, inflammation, and chronic gout. 2. Effective for breast cancer, cervical cancer, esophageal cancer and lung cancer.
