Chlorhexidine gluconate is a type of biguanidine with considerable antimicrobial activity (Aly and Maibach, 1983; Goldblum et al., 1983; Sebben, 1983). At pH 5.0 to 8.0, it is most effective against Gram positive (10mcg/ml) and Gram negative (50mcg/ml) bacteria.
Disinfection and anti-corrosion drugs have strong broad-spectrum antibacterial and bactericidal effects, and are effective against both Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria. Externally disinfect hands and skin, rinse wounds.
