What is Minoxidil? Minoxidil, which chemically known as 6-(1-piperidyl)-2, 4-pyrimidine diamine-3-oxide, is an organic matter that appears as a white or quasi-white crystalline powder. Clinically as potassium channel opening agent, can directly relax vascular smooth muscle, has a strong effect of small artery dilation, so that the peripheral resistance drops, blood pressure drops, and has no effect on the capacity of blood vessels, so it can promote venous return.
