Description:
Potassium diclofenac is a new nonsteroidal anti - inflammatory drug with significant anti - inflammatory and analgesic effects.When joint, muscle sprain, tooth extraction and surgery are performed, aseptic inflammation, tissue edema, and pain can be caused. As inflammation occurs, local synthesis and release of prostaglandins will increase.Diclofenac potassium can reduce the amount of prostaglandins synthesized and released in the injured area, and play an anti-inflammatory and analgesic role.
Chemical Properties and Usage
Diclofenac is clinically used in rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and osteoarthritis. It is suitable for various kinds of moderate pain, such as post-operative and post-traumatic pain, acute musculoskeletal diseases, and fever caused by inflammation. It is also used for acute gout and cancer, soft tissue injury and post-operative pain. It is used to prevent pupil contraction and treat inflammation after cataract extraction. Anti-infective treatment of non-infective inflammation in ophthalmology, including non-infective inflammation caused by surgical and non-surgical factors, such as uveitis, keratitis, scleritis and scleral outer layer inflammation; inhibition of corneal neovascularization; inhibition of inflammatory pupil contraction during cataract surgery; prevention of post-operative inflammatory reaction and macular cystoid edema formation, and promotion of filtering blebs after glaucoma filtering surgery It also has therapeutic effect on allergic conjunctivitis.
