What is Naphazoline HCI? Naphazoline HCI is a white crystalline powder. Melting point 255-260ºC. Dissolves 40g of this product in 100ml of water. Freely soluble in ethanol, slightly soluble in chl0roform, insoluble in benzene and ether. Odorless, bitter taste.

Application & Function Clinically naphthazoline hydrochloride is used for the treatment of colds, acute and chronic rhinitis, allergic conjunctivitis, allergic and inflammatory nasal congestion. Topical long-term use of naphazoline hydrochloride can lead to excessive blood flow to the medicated portion, which can cause decreased resistance and result in secondary infection. Cannot be taken internally. Too many drops or too high a concentration of the drug can cause poisoning. Caution should be exercised especially in children, infants, hypertension, hyperthyroidism, and atrophic rhinitis. The interval between drops should be at least 4~6 hours.
