Product Description

Veterinary Medicine CAS 64-75-5 Tetracycline Hydrochloride HCl Tetracycline

Name: Tetracycline hydrochloride / Tetracycline HCl

CAS No: 64-75-5

MF: C22H23ClN2O8.HCl

Other Names: Chlortetracycline HCl

Characteristics: Yellowish or cream white granular

Usage: Animal Pharmaceuticals

Purity: 99%

Shelf life:2years

Uses:Tetracycline is a linear, tetracyclic, broad spectrum antibiotic first prepared chemically by dechlorination of chlortetracycline and subsequently isolated from several Streptomyces species. Tetracycline has broad spectrum antibacterial and antiprotozoan activity, and acts by binding to the 30S and 50S ribosomal subunits blocking protein synthesis. Tetracycline is a pigment and, like many pigments, is degraded by light, oxygen, trace metal ions and pH variations. The purity of tetracycline is often variable, with significant levels of degradation products.

Uses :Tetracycline is a broad spectrum polyketide antibiotic. It is used clinically to treat bacterial infections such as Rocky
Mountain spotted fever, typhus fever, tick fevers, Q fever, and Brill-Zinsser disease. It is used to treat upper respiratory
infections and acne. It is used to study multidrug resistance as well as potential side effects such as acute pancreatitis.

Product Introduction:
Tetracycline hydrochloride is the hydrochloride form of the tetracycline. Tetracycline is a kind of broad-spectrum polyketide antibiotics produced by the Streptomyces genus of antinobacteria. It is a kind of bacteriostatic antibiotics which inhibits the bacteria growth through binding to the 30 S ribosomal subunit, blocking the aminoacyl tRNA from binding to the translating ribosome, thus interfering with the protein synthesis process. It is used for the treatment of infections occurring in urinary tracts, respiratory tract, and the intestines. Because of the problem of drug resistance, tetracycline is not a frequent choice for treating bacterial infections. However, it is still used for the treatment of infections caused by chlamydia, Rickettsia and Spirochetal.

Product Functions&Applications:

1. This product has a certain antibacterial effect on some anaerobes, but it is far inferior to metronidazole, clindamycin and chloramphenicol, so it is not used clinically. Over the years, due to the extensive application of tetracyclines, Gram-negative bacteria such as Staphylococcus and gram-negative bacilli, such as Staphylococcus, have been extensively drug-resistant to tetracycline.
Moreover, there are cross resistance among the species of the same kind. The action mechanism of this product is that the drug can specifically bind to the A location of the ribosomal 30S subunit, and prevent the binding of aminoyl tRNA on this site, thereby inhibiting the growth of peptide linkage and affecting the protein synthesis of bacteria.
2. The first choice for the treatment of non bacterial infection of Chlamydia, Rickettsia, mycoplasma pneumonia disease, relapsing fever and other infections, but also for the treatment of brucellosis, cholera, tularemia, rat bite fever, anthrax, tetanus, plague, actinomycosis, gas gangrene and sensitive bacterial respiratory system, bile duct, urinary tract infection and skin and soft tissue infection etc.

Veterinary Medicine CAS 64-75-5 Tetracycline Hydrochloride HCl Tetracycline

Tetracycline Hcl /Tetracycline hydrochloride is a broad-spectrum antibiotic, high concentration has the sterilization effect, in addition to the common gram positive bacteria, gram negative bacteria and anaerobic bacteria, most of Rickettsia, mycoplasma, chlamydia, atypical mycobacteria, spirochetes, actinomyces, anthrax, mononucleosis of Lester bacteria, Clostridium, Nocardia sensitive to the chemicals. The effect of this product on gram positive bacteria was better than that of gram negative bacteria, but the resistance of enterococci and penicillin resistant neisseria gonorrhoeae to it. This product has good antibacterial activity against gram negative bacteria such as Vibrio, Brucella, Campylobacter and Jerson, and has no antibacterial activity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
