What is cromolyn sodium? cromolyn sodium, an organic compound with the chemical formula C23H14Na2O11, is mainly used as an anti-allergic drug, with good preventive and therapeutic effects on rapid-onset allergic reactions. Its mechanism of action is to stabilize the cell membrane of mast cells and prevent mast cell degranulation, thus inhibiting the release of allergic reaction mediators such as histamine, 5-hydroxytryptamine and slow-reaction substances, and then suppressing the adverse effects of allergic reaction mediators on tissues.
