Amprolium hydrochloride is an anticoccidian drug used in poultry. It is a thiamine like drug that inhibits thiamine transport in coccidians by inhibiting thiamine absorption and carbohydrate synthesis.

Purpose 1

 

It is used as an anticocciditic against Eimeria chicken, Eimeria tender and pile, lamb and calf

 

Purpose 2 

 

Anticoccidiosis drugs, good effect, less residual amount, can prevent and treat chicken coccidiosis, and can promote growth. For chicken feed, the dosage is 62.5-125g/t. Usually can also be mixed with ethoxamide phenyl methyl ester by 125:8 into two mixtures, the dosage is (62.5+4 -- 125+8)g/t, withdrawal period of 7 days, egg production period prohibited. With ethoxamide phenyl methyl ester and sulfaquinoxaline mixed into three mixtures by 100:5:60, the highest dosage is (100+5+60) g/t, egg production period prohibited, drug withdrawal period 7 days.
