What is Tropicamide? Tropicamide is an anticholinergic drug, white crystalline powder at room temperature, odorless, slightly soluble in water, soluble in ethanol, dilute hydrochlori* acid, dilute sulfuric acid and chlorofor*, can block the excitatory effect of the iris sphincter and ciliary muscle caused by acetylcholine. Its 0.5% solution can cause pupil dilation; 1% solution can cause ciliary muscle paralysis and pupil dilation.

Application & Function Clinically, it is mainly used to treat eye drops to dilate pupils and regulate paralysis.
