For research use onlyAvilamycin (AVM) is a orthosomycin antibiotic obtained by the incubation of Streptomyces  viridochromogenes, and is a mixture composed of multiple components.   For physicochemical properties, AVM occurs as a gray to black-brown powder or particles, and has a   characteristic odor.
