What is Povidone iodine? Povidone iodine is an unstable complex made of surfactant and iodine, which is a topical disinfectant of iodophor type. The 1-vinyl-2-arsenolidone homopolymer is a surfactant, and Chemicalbook helps the solution to wet and penetrate the object, thus enhancing the bactericidal effect of iodine. 80-90% of the bound iodine can be depolymerized into free iodine, with high concentration, strong bactericidal power, tasteless, non-irritating, non-sensitizing and low toxicity. It is a broad-spectrum bactericide, which can kill virus, bacteria, bacterium, fungus and protozoa.

Application & Function The main indications of povidone iodine are as follows. 1, for purulent dermatitis, skin fungal infections, small area of mild burns, also for disinfection of small area of skin and mucous membrane wounds. 2,Bacterial and mycotic vaginitis, cervical erosion, trichomonas vaginitis, pubic itching, pubic infection odor, leucorrhea yellow odor, comprehensive pubic inflammation, prevention and local treatment disinfection of senile vaginitis, herpes, gonorrhea, syphilis and condyloma acuminata. 3, disinfection of glans, prepuce, external genitalia and surrounding.
