Spinosad is a kind of macrolide pollution-free and high-efficiency biological insecticide extracted from the fermentation broth of Polyspora spiny cane. Spinosad has a novel mode of action and can continuously activate target insect acetylcholine nicotinic receptors, but its binding site is different from nicotine and imidacloprid. Spinosad can also affect GABA receptors, but the mechanism of action is unclear. It has rapid contact and stomach poisoning effects on pests, and has a strong penetrating effect on leaves, which can kill pests under the epidermis. No systemic effect. It can effectively control Lepidoptera, Diptera and Thysanoptera pests. It can also effectively control some species of Coleoptera and Orthoptera that feed on leaves. Control of piercing-sucking pests and mites less effective.
