           Probenecid (Probenecid) inhibits the active reabsorption of urate in the proximal tubules, increases the excretion of urate and reduces the concentration of urate in the blood. It can alleviate or prevent the formation of urate nodules, reduce joint damage, and promote the dissolution of formed urate. No anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects. It can competitively inhibit the secretion of weak organic acids (such as penicillin and cephalosporins) in the renal tubules, so it can increase the blood concentration of these antibiotics and prolong their action time.
