Vidarabine phosphate is an antiviral drug.The antiviral activity is mainly caused by adenosine triphosphate (Ara-ATP), Ara-ATP competes with deoxyadenosine triphosphate (dATP) to bind to the viral DNAP, thus inhibiting the enzyme activity and the synthesis of viral DNA, as well as inhibiting the activity of viral nucleotide reductase while inhibiting viral DNA synthesis, and also inhibiting viral DNA terminal deoxynucleotidyltransferase It can also inhibit the activity of deoxynucleotidyltransferase at the end of viral DNA, so that Ara-A penetrates into viral DNA and connects to the end of the 3′-OH position of the DNA chain, inhibiting the continued synthesis of viral DNA. |
