Sodium dihydrogen phosphate is the raw material for the manufacture of sodium hempetaphosphate and sodium pyrophosphate, mainly used in leather, boiler water treatment, as a quality modifier and baking powder, and in the food industry, fermentation industry as a buffer and baking powder raw material, but also used as feed additives, detergents and dyeing additives.
(1) For the prevention and treatment of hypophosphatemia. It is also used as a phosphorus additive for total intravenous hypertrophic therapy to prevent hypophosphatemia.
(2) As an adjunct to urinary tract infection, this drug can acidize urine, thereby enhancing the antibacterial activity of Ulotropine mandelate and ulotropine hippurate, and can eliminate the odor.
(3) Prevention of calcium-containing kidney stones. This drug can acidify the urine, increase the solubility of calcium, prevent calcium deposition in the urine, and thus prevent the recurrence of calcium-containing kidney stones.
(4) Treatment of hypercalcemia. In recent years, this drug has not been commonly used in the treatment of hypercalcemia, and other safer and more effective methods have been used.
(1) Taking calcium salt, aluminum hydroxide or magnesium oxide at the same time can reduce the absorption of phosphorus.
(2) Combined with adrenal corticosteroids, especially salt corticosteroids, adrenocorticotropin, androgens, etc., can increase water and sodium retention.
(3) Vitamin D can increase the absorption of oral phosphorus, and hyperphosphatemia is prone to occur when combined.
