What's Fluorescein sodium?  Sodium fluorescein is an organic compound with molecular formula C20H10Na2O5, orange-red powder, odorless, hygroscopic; easily soluble in water, the solution is yellow-red, with strong yellow-green fluorescence, disappears after acidification, neutralizes It reappears after alkalization and is slightly soluble in ethanol; the maximum absorption wavelength (water) is 493.5nm.

Application & Function of Fluorescein sodium Fluorescein sodium eye drops are used for ophthalmological diagnosis, normal cornea does not show color, abnormal cornea shows color. Fluorescein sodium injection is used to measure blood circulation time. After intravenous injection, observe under ultraviolet light. It is normal that the lip mucosa can see yellow-green fluorescence within 10 to 16 seconds.
