	What is Copovidone? Copovidone is white or to milky white amorphous powder, odorless or slightly special odor, tasteless; hygroscopic, completely soluble in water, also soluble in ethanol, and other similar solvents as well as ester and ketone solvents, slightly soluble in ether and hydrocarbon solvents. The viscosity of water and alcohol solution of this product is low and the viscosity coefficient is small; it is stable under normal conditions, but when mixed with strong acid or alkali solution to a certain extent, it will lead to hydrolysis or saponification of the vinyl acetat* structure in the molecular chain, resulting in changes in physical properties.
	Application & Function  VP/VA copolymers are mainly used as film formers and styling agents in cosmetics, especially in hair sprays, hair gels, mousses and shampoo products. They play an important role as film-formers and hair styling agents and their effectiveness is enhanced when used in combination with PVP K30. They are also used as water-soluble and dry binders in pharmaceutical granulation and direct compression technology, as film-forming materials in film coatings, and as pore-formers in flavor masking agents. Used in sugar coatings to prevent splitting and in base coatings for moisture protection.
