What is Copovidone? Copovidone is white or to milky white amorphous powder, odorless or slightly special odor, tasteless; hygroscopic, completely soluble in water, also soluble in ethanol, and other similar solvents as well as ester and ketone solvents, slightly soluble in ether and hydrocarbon solvents. The viscosity of water and alcohol solution of this product is low and the viscosity coefficient is small; it is stable under normal conditions, but when mixed with strong acid or alkali solution to a certain extent, it will lead to hydrolysis or saponification of the vinyl acetat* structure in the molecular chain, resulting in changes in physical properties. |
