Butachlor is an organic compound with the molecular formula C17H26ClNO2, which is a selective pre-emergent herbicide. It is mainly used for the control of annual grass weeds and some broad-leaved weeds in direct seeding or transplanted rice fields. Also selective for wheat, barley, sugar beet, cotton, peanut and cabbage crops. The effective dose is 1.0-4.5kg (active ingredient) per hectare. It is generally used for pre-emergence soil surface treatment, and it can also be applied after seedlings in paddy fields. It is an important variety of herbicides in paddy fields.
