Chlorpyrifos, also known as chlorpyrifos and chlorpyrifos, is chemically named O,O-diethyl-O-(3,5,6-trichloro-2-pyridyl)phosphoric acid, and its molecular formula is C9H11Cl3NO3PS, It is white crystals with a slight thiol smell. It is a non-systemic broad-spectrum insecticide and acaricide with high volatility in the soil.
It is an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor, a phosphorothioate pesticide.
Inhibit the activity of acetylcholinesterase AChE or cholinesterase ChE in the nerves of the body and destroy the normal nerve impulse conduction, causing a series of symptoms of poisoning: abnormal excitement, spasm, paralysis, and death.
